La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio Riverwalk

My stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Antonio Riverwalk was excellent from start to finish. The rooms were comfortable, the property was well-kept, and the location made it easy to get around—but the real highlight was the service. Joselyn was incredibly helpful throughout my visit. She didn’t just do her job; she genuinely took the time to make sure every detail was taken care of. Her manager, Jessica, was just as impressive—supportive, friendly, and clearly dedicated to creating a great guest experience. Thanks to both of them, my stay felt smooth, welcoming, and stress-free. Highly recommend!

The location was great. The breakfast had plenty of options with a large seating area. The room/bathroom was spacious and bed/pillows were comfortable. The only complaint was we went to the bar to get a drink and there was not a staff member in there. We waited 10 minutes then went to the front desk to ask and they said oh he’s out front I’ll send him over. When he came in the bar, he was very unfriendly and it seemed as though we were inconveniencing him since he had to come inside to do his job instead of hanging outside talking to someone. This happened on a Friday during Happy Hour time and no one was in the bar. 3/4-3/7.

The young lady in charge of cleaning our room, Stephanie, made our stay more enjoyable. She exceeded our expectations and more. When we needed assistance, she made us a priority, and quickly took care of us as if we were family. No matter what we needed, even if it wasn't in her department, she made it a point to take care of everything, then followed up to confirm we were happy. This is the type of employee that makes me come back for the best customer service and professionalism. We felt as if we knew her already, and she made us feel at home with family. The room was comfortable overall, except for the air conditioner’s location. It was positioned directly behind the desk chair, where I spend most of my waking hours in the room. The furniture showed some wear. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated that the bathroom had a bathtub, good water pressure, and ample counter space. The staff was friendly and polite. The breakfast buffet offered limited options. The location is excellent for anyone attending the convention center.

Overall I had a great experience. The staff was very helpful and kind. I always felt safe. The location was perfect! Right by the river walk & all the shops. Everything was walkable and nothing was too far. But the tub was a bit nasty & constantly stopped up.

I love the La Quinta. Me and my family always come to this hotel every time we come to San Antonio. Got a great room with a great view of everything around the hotel but the one thing we miss was the valet and we wish it would come back

The hotel is very nicely appointed and gives the feel of a higher end hotel experience. The room (King Suite) was amazing. The breakfast was standard continental breakfast fare. The service staff for breakfast area were friendly and attentive. I rate our stay with 5 stars and it truly was a great experience. There were a few little things that for me were just that and did not detract from the stay. Their parking does seem limited if they are at capacity. We arrived on a slow night and didn't need the car during our 5 night stay so was not a real bother. In their cost cutting effort their room service is not daily. You can request more frequent service but standard is every 3rd day. I don't have a problem with this either as I usually don't need to have my towels refreshed every day. They will pick up trash everyday if you set it outside your door. Again I don't mind policing my own trash and they will supply you with bags as needed. The last was a very minor annoyance. Neither TV in the room would function. They would turn on but after that only the volume would work. The front desk staff did not seem to have any real solution and their suggestion was no remedy. Again I don't stay at hotels for the TV service so it was not a big bother. Was just wanting to catch up on some Olympic competitions. Overall a great stay. If you want a good stay at a reasonable price with easy access to downtown and riverwalk then I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location—but what truly made my experience outstanding was the staff. Joselyn went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine willingness to help made a huge difference during my stay.
